| Purpose: |
To determine the strongest team from among countries in
the northern, central and southern American continents, as well as
provide competitive opportunities for developing teams. Individual
titlists are also named in singles and doubles. In pre-event years,
the Tournament of the Americas also serves as the designated Pan
American Games Qualifying Trials. |

eyewear requirement. |

Entrants must be members of a
recognized national team from countries in the north and south
American continents. |
| Judging: |
Preliminary competition conducted in a round robin
format to determine seeding positions and team championship,
followed by single elimination championship rounds for individual
titles. |
